Saris and a Single Malt

Sweta Srivastava Vikram

Does Grief Wear a Colour?

Hindu tradition tells me

to wear white to show loss.

But, will wearing white bring back my mother?

No one answers.

A part of me died with you, mumma.

A part of me ceased to exist.

I can’t wear white,

my bleeding heart will ruin it.
